HBO is taking a shine to boxing trainer Freddie Roach. Pay cabler has greenlit the reality series "On Freddie Roach," which will focus on his career in and outside the ring. Roach, who has trained more than 20 world champions, including Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan, Oscar de la Hoya and Mike Tyson, also suffers from Parkinson's disease. Six-episode series is set to debut early next year and will be exec produced by Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey and Michael Price. Said Berg: "HBO's enthusiasm in supporting a less-conventional, verite style of storytelling is why they continue to create original and truly innovative programming." HBO's sports division also produces reality series "Hard Knocks," a preseason look at a NFL team. That might not happen this year because of the ongoing dispute between the owners and players.
