School Board?Meeting
Tonight?s meeting was headed by newly elected President, Samantha Spaulding.?
The agenda had some interesting items under correspondence.? The Runnemede School District is talking with Oaklyn Public School District in regards to Shared Superintendent Agreement.? ??Runnemede was approached by Oaklyn Public School District.? Spaulding didn?t know what school year this would be for or if Runnemede was the only district that was approached.?
Two letters have been sent to the district from Mr. John Paff and Mr. John Schmidt.? Paff?s letter was in reference to Executive Session Resolutions and Minutes.? Schmidt?s letter was for OPRA requests.? [click for Paff]
The board?s attorney would not read both letters to the public because of their length.?
Dr. Nancy Ward announced that the Runnemede School District has received 15 applicants for the Business Administrator?s position.? Both Ward and Valerie Carmody are screening the applicants.?
Spaulding created a graph for the Runnemede Board of Education Committees for 2011-12 school year.? [click here]
Mrs. Barbara Cavallaro will be retiring this year from the Runnemede School District.?
A few re-assignments will be taking place for the 2011-2012 school year.? Jenna Pulcinella will be moving from 1st grade at Downing School to Basic Skills Reading Intervention.? Pulcinella will be at Bingham and Downing Schools.? Pulcinella has a Masters Degree in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist Certification.?
Karen Clements will be moving from 3rd grade at Downing School to Bingham School for Special Education In-Class Support Teacher.? Clements has a certification in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Reading.?
The legal fees for the 2010-11 school year have increased.? The $30,000 has been exceeded.? Funds have been transferred to increase the amount to $48,000.?
The next meeting will be on June 22.
