Maurice Jones-Drew ? Maurice Jones-Drew says he ... - Fantasy Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) practiced for the first time Saturday, Aug. 13, and said he was not feeling any soreness Sunday, Aug. 14. 'I kind of got that feel back getting hit. Today was no soreness, no setbacks. No nothing,' Jones-Drew said. He said he has little doubt he will be able to play at a high level for Week 1 of the regular season. 'As long as I feel healthy, I'll be able to roll. I feel totally different, because there's no pain at all. I think that's the biggest thing, because no matter how tough it is, or how sharp the pain is or how dull the pain is, it's pain. This year, there is no pain. It's just going out there and playing like I'd been playing the first couple of years without it,' he added. He practiced again Sunday, but head coach Jack Del Rio said Jones-Drew will not play in the team's next preseason game. Jones-Drew would like to see some preseason play, but it is not clear at this time if that will happen.
Huddle Up: Pain free, but still not clear as if he's going to get any pre-season game action? That's odd. MJD has been a fantasy stud for years, but this year we are really, really concerned. If there's ever a situation where you need to handcuff a RB, this is it. Rashad Jennings is already slated to get "more looks" this season, and would be the first in line for "featured back" duties should MJD miss any time.
