Locke Lord LLP, an international law firm with over 600 attorneys, seeks a Reference Librarian for the Chicago office with hours from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M.?? To qualify one must have an MLS and 3-5+ years of experience in providing research services in legal, business or other disciplines utilizing print and electronic resources such as Lexis, WestLaw, etc. Other qualifications include experience with an ILS (SirsiDynix or EOS a plus), SharePoint and an understanding of information architecture concepts.
Responsibilities include:
Perform library research utilizing print and electronic resources for firm and client matters in assigned offices.
Provide summary reports and analysis of research when appropriate.
Design and maintain the Information Services portal pages using SharePoint.
Lead the Information Services training team in planning and development of programs for continuing education and for new hires.
Provide needs-based and planned training to new and existing attorneys and staff.
Remain current on new features and technologies as they affect legal research resources.
