CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Juan Agudelo scored his first goal for Chivas USA in a 1-1 tie with Seattle on Saturday night.

The 19-year-old was playing his second match for Chivas (4-6-3) since being dealt from the New York Red Bulls after he requested a trade. He scored in the 57th minute on a cross from former Sounders defender James Riley.

"It was good to get the goal personally, but I don't like to think of the personal stuff, I just thought that my goal helped the team and was able to take pressure off the defense," Agudelo said. "I definitely feel that everything single day in training and in the games am getting more comfortable. I'm getting an understanding of how my teammates like to play."

Agudelo was cut a day earlier from the U.S. national team when Jurgen Klinsmann pared his roster from 27 to 23 for upcoming exhibitions and World Cup qualifiers.

"This team is moving forward," Chivas captain Alejandro Moreno said. "We're climbing ever so slowly and, hopefully, we can put a string of results together that we can be proud of and out fans can be proud of."

David Estrada scored four minutes later on a cross from Alex Caskey to tie the game. It was Estrada's fifth goal of the season.

"Anyone that scores goals is happy when they score a goal, but it's good for him because he hasn't scored since the second game of the season," Sounders coach Sigi Schmid said.

Seattle (7-3-3) hasn't won in four games.

"We want to get three (points). Every team wants to get three but right now where we're at, I'm just happy with the fact that we came back and we tied," Schmid said. "It would have been nice to have stolen (the result), but I thought it would have been a bit of a steal."
